Airless pumps create a vacuum to push product through the orifice. A piston at the bottom of the cylinder pushes the product (serums, creams, lotions, or gels) upward. A small hole, in the outer portion at the bottom of the cylinder, allows air to flow into the empty space produced from the piston pushing upward.
